Pāʻia Lā ʻOhana Day

Each May, the community, families, immersion and English students of Pā'ia Elementary School come together to celebrate the stories and songs of our Hawai'i ancestors. The event is unique from most schools, in that they recreate the history of Maui. With students representing the ancient Maui ali'i during their activities.
"it's very traditional. Where most of the other schools do a court where it's mo'i or the royalty of what we know as king and queen. This goes deeper and farther back in time."
